Activity Time!
The activities below can be completed at any age and in any season. They can take 5 mins…..or as long as you want! If you are a local and get down here frequently then I recommend you do these activities each season/each month and notice what the changes are. I hope you have loads of fun watching, finding, listening and touching……

Identify 8 plants around The BEE Gardens…
Go through the pics below to see if you can find these 8 plants!
Of course many plants change throughout the year so I have picked 8 plants that should be easily recognisable throughout most seasons. I have mentioned what season/s are best to spot each plant…Have fun!
Love, Emma
Calendula- flowers all year round!
Hop goodenia- it has small yellow flowers all year round!
gaura (or butterfly bush)- these pretty flowers dance in the wind like they are butterflies! They flower in spring and summer...
Lamb's ears! They die off a little over winter but can still be found. Feel their beautifully soft leaves...
Cut leaf daisy- a small purple indigenous daisy that flowers all year...
sedum "autumn joy"- the plant dies right back in winter but from spring to end of autumn has beautiful foliage and amazing flower heads that change colour with the seasons!
perennial basil- this plant has been covered in flowers from the time I planted it! Watch out for bees on this one!
Pink valerian- flowers mostly through spring and summer but has been spot flowering throughout the year at The BEE Gardens!
